US CONSTITUTION, AMENDMENT XIV, Section 1, Ratified July 9, 1868, reads:
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are Citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
It's time to put a stop to immigrants coming to the United States to have their babies just so that their offspring will automatically be American citizens. They know no court in this country will separate them from their "American" citizen babies.
Go to Texas or New Mexico or Arizona or California and look at the motels where pregnant women are waiting. As soon as they go into labor they are rushed in taxies across the border into the United States to an American hospital to have their babies. It's an industry all unto itself.
It's time to put a stop to this nonsense. It is time to amend Section 1, Amendment XIV of the Constitution. All it takes is adding the words "to a mother who is an American Citizen or or who has been " in the first sentence after the words, "All persons born".
Section 1 would then read:
All persons born to a mother who is an American Citizen or who has been naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are Citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
