Teresa Heinz Kerry says "only an idiot" would fail to support the health care plan proposed by her husband, Democrat John Kerry.
Heinz Kerry's comments came as she discussed with the Intelligencer Journal of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, her husband's health care plan.
"Only an idiot wouldn't like this," Heinz Kerry told the newspaper for a story in its Thursday editions. "Of course, there are idiots."
That got me thinking . . . if you oppose her husband you're an idiot. Hmmm . . . in his campaign speeches John Kerry often vows to go after -- "Benedict Arnold companies that ship American jobs overseas." His campaign has likened them to "traitors."
Since his wife is the heir to the Heinz ketchup fortune and, according to columnist James Glassman that of the 79 factories owned by Heinz, 57 are located abroad, which does she prefer to be known as: an "idiot" for disagreeing with her husband or a "traitor" for agreeing?
Most probably, neither. Following in her husband's foot steps, she'll want it both ways - - selective "idiocy" and selective "traitor-ship."
